NGC6951 is a barred/Seyfert Type II galaxy viewed face on from a distance of ~75 million light years. The surrounding nebulocity, the Integrated Flux Nebula (IFN), reside near the milkyway and is not related to NGC6951. Seyfert galaxies have an active centre emitting large amounts of raditation due to the presence of a super massive black hole and an accreting disk of material falling into the black hole.
