Milkyway:
NGC6946 Fireworks galaxy in the constellations Cepheus and Cygnus 11'th and 13'th October 2012
Orion Optics VX12-F4 with TeleVue 2x Powermate 2 Inch (~F8), SBIG ST-4000XCM -25C 3h50min (23x600sec).
Light travel time: 22.5 million years.
Processing: CCDSoft, Astroart 5.0. In Astroart a plate solve was made and calibration of the arcsec/pix came out as 0.64"/pix, this is very close to the 0.635"/pix expected. Therefore the
actual barlow magnification really is 2X. The resolution in the image was then found by FWHM measurement in CCDInspector to be 2.59", this is very good for my typical
conditions.
